I thought you were
My resting place
You took me under water
A perfect blue escape
Blue escape
When we were speaking under water
Everything seemed clear
The blue luminescence
Cast a light on you, my dear
And like the treasures on the shore
So became our past
We planned that we would stay here
Forever under
Blue waters
I whispered something under water
You could barely hear
There was no one else to listen
Nobody was near
I said I thought that I could stay here
In this resting place
But we’re floating at a distance
And struggling for
Air

I enjoyed Deerhoof's music for many years before this came out, but this album turned me into a Deerhoof superfan. This is an absolutely incredible set of songs from beginning to end. The individual tracks are great, but they all add up to make a powerful overall statement. Listening to this album is such a cathartic experience every time. jgregorsok

Heard "You Never Knew" on Mariah Duran's skate part on Thrasher yesterday. Coincidentally, 2 days ago, I was talking to my brother and he said something along the lines of "I'm sure a song exists out there that would be my favorite ever, but I will never find it because there is too much music." and here I am, listening to this album on repeat since yesterday. Can't wait for the record to arrive. Would love longer versions of pretty much the whole album, I can't get enough. Superb work. Hadi Burpee
